All are welcome to attend this month’s meeting of the Better Breather’s Club, Wednesday, May 16 at 2 pm, at LA BioMed’s Clinical Trials Center, 1101 W. 220th Street, Torrance, CA. This month’s topic is “Resistance Exercise Training for People with Chronic Lung Disease,” presented by Thomas W. Storer, PhD, a foremost academic expert on training muscles for strength and power.

The Pulmonary Education and Research Foundation (PERF) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that was formed from a passion to improve the outlook for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), through research into pulmonary rehabilitation and other patient-centered therapies. Over time, this purpose has adapted to include other diseases where shortness-of-breath and exercise intolerance are hallmark symptoms.
