PERF needs your help to support our mission to improve the lives of those who experience breathing difficulties, through the support of research and education.
This message goes out in the midst of COPD awareness month and at a time when we read of record numbers around the world being diagnosed with COVID-19. PERF’s educational mission aims to help all those who experience breathing problems; and this part of our mission has taken on a special significance during the pandemic.
In March, we re-doubled our efforts to provide regular, up-to-date, scientifically-rigorous, and (most importantly) freely available information to help keep people safe and well. We’re proud that we have reached record numbers of you with our COVID-19 blogs, many of which focus on those with underlying health conditions. Our website and blog are maintained, and your questions answered directly, by physicians, scientists, nurses, and patients, each of whom contributes their time for free.
